Globally, as of 10 am BJT on Saturday, there have been 18,902,735 confirmed cases of coronavirus, including 709,511 deaths, reported the World Health Organization.

The outbreak has now claimed 163,345 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 5,048,994 infections, according to a tally by the 1Point3Acres virus tracker as of 10 am BJT on Saturday.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 2,962,442 with 99,572 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

India has confirmed a total of 2,027,074 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 41,585.

Russia has confirmed 875,378 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 14,698.

South Africa has recorded 545,476 confirmed cases and 9,909 deaths.

It is followed by Mexico with 51,311 deaths from 469,407 infections.

Peru has reported 455,409 COVID-19 cases and 20,424 deaths from the virus so far.

A total of 368,825 people in Chile have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 9,958.

The Colombia's confirmed cases have increased to 357,710, with the number of deaths at 11,939, according to the JHU virus tracker.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 18,132 lives in Iran, bringing the total number of infections to 322,567.
