Globally, as of 10 am BJT on Sunday, there have been 19,187,943 confirmed cases of coronavirus, including 716,075 deaths, reported the World Health Organization.

The outbreak has now claimed 164,488 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 5,105,849 infections, according to a tally by the 1Point3Acres virus tracker as of 10 am BJT on Sunday.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 2,962,442 with 99,572 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

India has confirmed a total of 2,088,611 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 42,518.

Russia has confirmed 880,563 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 14,827.

South Africa has recorded 553,188 confirmed cases and 10,210 deaths.

It is followed by Mexico with 52,006 deaths from 475,902 infections.

Peru has reported 463,875 COVID-19 cases and 20,649 deaths from the virus so far.

A total of 371,023 people in Chile have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 10,011.

The Colombia's confirmed cases have increased to 367,196, with the number of deaths at 12,250, according to the JHU virus tracker.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 18,264 lives in Iran, bringing the total number of infections to 324,692.
