Globally, as of 10 am BJT on Thursday, there have been 67,780,361 confirmed cases of coronavirus, including 1,551,214 deaths, reported the World Health Organization.

The outbreak has now claimed 294,400 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 15,649,964 infections, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University as of 10 am BJT on Thursday.

India has confirmed a total of 9,735,850 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 141,360.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 6,728,452 with 178,995 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

Russia has confirmed 2,518,551 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 44,220.

France has recorded 2,377,913 confirmed cases and 56,752 deaths.

It is followed by the UK with 62,663 deaths from 1,771,544 infections.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 61,739 lives in Italy, bringing the total number of infections to 1,770,149.

A total of 1,712,101 people in Spain have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 47,019.

Argentina has reported 1,475,222 COVID-19 cases and 40,222 deaths from the virus so far.

Colombia's confirmed cases have increased to 1,392,133, with the number of deaths at 38,308, according to the JHU virus tracker.
