Globally, as of 6:30 pm BJT on Monday, there have been 70,461,926 confirmed cases of coronavirus, including 1,599,704 deaths, reported the World Health Organization.

The outbreak has now claimed 303,984 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 16,504,180 infections, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University as of 6:30 pm BJT on Monday.

India has confirmed a total of 9,884,100 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 143,355.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 6,901,952 with 181,402 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

Russia has confirmed 2,656,601 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 46,846.

France has recorded 2,430,612 confirmed cases and 58,015 deaths.

It is followed by the UK with 64,267 deaths from 1,854,490 infections.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 64,520 lives in Italy, bringing the total number of infections to 1,843,712.

Turkey's confirmed cases have increased to 1,836,728, with the number of deaths at 16,417, according to the JHU virus tracker.

A total of 1,730,575 people in Spain have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 47,624.

Argentina has reported 1,498,160 COVID-19 cases and 40,766 deaths from the virus so far.
