The total number of deaths from the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide has increased to 1,675,963 with the global confirmed cases reaching 75,736,362 as of 5:30 pm BJT on Saturday, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.

The outbreak has now claimed the lives of at least 313,660 people in the US, the most of any country. The US also leads the world in the number of confirmed infections with 17,465,147, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University as of 5:30 pm BJT on Saturday.

India has confirmed a total number of infections to 10,004,599. The death toll grew to 145,136.

Brazil has confirmed a total number of infections to 7,162,978. The death toll grew to 185,650.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Russia have increased to 2,792,615 with 49,744 deaths.

It is followed by France with 2,499,529 infections and 60,345 deaths, United Kingdom with 1,982,828 infections and 66,640 deaths, Turkey with 1,982,090 cases and 17,610 deaths, Italy with 1,921,778 cases and 67,894 deaths and Spain with 1,797,236 cases and 48,926 deaths.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Argentina have increased to 1,531,374 with 41,672 deaths.
