Globally, as of 10 am BJT on Thursday, there have been 76,858,506 confirmed cases of coronavirus, including 1,711,498 deaths, reported the World Health Organization.

The outbreak has now claimed 331,397 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 18,783,933 infections, according to a tally by the 1Point3Acres virus tracker as of 10 am BJT on Thursday.

India has confirmed a total of 10,099,066 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 146,444.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 7,365,517 with 189,220 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

Russia has confirmed 2,905,196 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 51,810.

France has recorded 2,562,615 confirmed cases and 62,098 deaths.

The UK's confirmed cases have increased to 2,155,914, with the number of deaths at 69,156, according to the JHU virus tracker.

It is followed by Turkey with 18,861 deaths from 2,082,610 infections.

A total of 1,991,378 people in Italy have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 70,373.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 49,698 lives in Spain, bringing the total number of infections to 1,842,289.

Germany has reported 1,587,903 COVID-19 cases and 28,527 deaths from the virus so far.
