Globally, as of 10 am BJT on Friday, there have been 77,530,799 confirmed cases of coronavirus, including 1,724,904 deaths, reported the World Health Organization.

The outbreak has now claimed 334,108 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 18,989,620 infections, according to a tally by the 1Point3Acres virus tracker as of 10 am BJT on Friday.

India has confirmed a total of 10,123,778 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 146,756.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 7,423,945 with 189,982 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

Russia has recorded 2,934,695 confirmed cases and 52,434 deaths.

France has confirmed 2,584,333 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 62,389.

The UK has reported 2,195,144 COVID-19 cases and 69,732 deaths from the virus so far.

It is followed by Turkey with 19,115 deaths from 2,100,712 infections.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 70,900 lives in Italy, bringing the total number of infections to 2,009,317.

A total of 1,854,951 people in Spain have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 49,824.

Germany's confirmed cases have increased to 1,614,336, with the number of deaths at 29,085, according to the JHU virus tracker.
