The total number of deaths from the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide has increased to 1,765,739 with the global confirmed cases reaching 80,830,708 as of 4:22 pm BJT on Monday, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.

The outbreak has now claimed the lives of at least 333,129 people in the US, the most of any country. The US also leads the world in the number of confirmed infections with 19,136,158.

India has confirmed a total number of infections to 10,207,871. The death toll grew to 147,901.

Brazil has confirmed a total number of infections to 7,484,285. The death toll grew to 191,139.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Russia have increased to 3,047,335 with 54,559 deaths.

It is followed by France with 2,616,510 infections and 62,867 deaths, United Kingdom with 2,295,228 infections and 70,860 deaths, Turkey with 2,147,578 cases and 19,878 deaths, Italy with 2,047,696 cases and 71,925 deaths and Spain with 1,854,951 cases and 49,824 deaths.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Germany have increased to 1,660,704 with 30,300 deaths.
