Globally, as of 10:30 am BJT on Tuesday, there have been 79,673,754 confirmed cases of coronavirus, including 1,761,381 deaths, reported the World Health Organization.

The outbreak has now claimed 339,999 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 19,676,421 infections, according to a tally by the 1Point3Acres virus tracker as of 10:30 am BJT on Tuesday.

India has confirmed a total of 10,207,871 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 147,901.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 7,504,833 with 191,570 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

Russia has recorded 3,047,335 confirmed cases and 54,559 deaths.

France has confirmed 2,619,616 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 63,235.

The UK has reported 2,336,688 COVID-19 cases and 69,732 deaths from the virus so far.

It is followed by Turkey with 20,135 deaths from 2,162,775 infections.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 72,370 lives in Italy, bringing the total number of infections to 2,056,277.

A total of 1,879,413 people in Spain have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 50,122.

Germany's confirmed cases have increased to 1,672,643, with the number of deaths at 30,508, according to the JHU virus tracker.
