The total number of deaths from the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide has increased to 1,490,725 with the global confirmed cases reaching 64,433,937 as of 7 pm BJT on Thursday, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.

The outbreak has now claimed 273,847 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 13,925,350 infections, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University as of 7 pm BJT on Thursday.
India has confirmed a total of 9,534,964 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 138,648.
Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 6,436,650 with 174,515 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.
Russia has confirmed 2,354,934 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 41,173.
France has recorded 2,275,677 confirmed cases and 52,822 deaths.
The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 45,784 lives in Spain, bringing the total number of infections to 1,665,775.
The UK has reported 1,663,468 COVID-19 cases and 59,796 deaths from the virus so far.
It is followed by Italy with 57,045 deaths from 1,641,610 infections.
A total of 1,440,103 people in Argentina have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 39,156.
Colombia's confirmed cases have increased to 1,334,089, with the number of deaths at 37,117, according to the JHU virus tracker.
