Globally, as of 10:30 am BJT on Wednesday, there have been 80,155,187 confirmed cases of coronavirus, including 1,771,128 deaths, reported the World Health Organization.

The outbreak has now claimed 343,407 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 19,841,339 infections, according to a tally by the 1Point3Acres virus tracker as of 10:30 am BJT on Wednesday.

India has confirmed a total of 10,224,303 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to148,153.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 7,563,551 with 192,681 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

Russia has recorded 3,073,923 confirmed cases and 55,107 deaths.

France has confirmed 2,631,110 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 64,204.

The UK has reported 2,389,963 COVID-19 cases and 71,675 deaths from the virus so far.

It is followed by Turkey with 20,388 deaths from 2,178,580 infections.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 73,029 lives in Italy, bringing the total number of infections to 2,067,487.

A total of 1,893,502 people in Spain have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 50,442.

Germany's confirmed cases have increased to 1,692,109, with the number of deaths at 31,655, according to the JHU virus tracker.
