The outbreak has now claimed 276,401 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 14,147,754 infections, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University as of 8 pm BJT on Friday.
India has confirmed a total of 9,571,559 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 139,188.
Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 6,487,084 with 175,270 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.
Russia has confirmed 2,382,012 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 41,730.
France has recorded 2,310,271 confirmed cases and 54,231 deaths.
The UK has reported 1,678,419 COVID-19 cases and 60,210 deaths from the virus so far.
The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 46,038 lives in Spain, bringing the total number of infections to 1,675,902.
It is followed by Italy with 58,038 deaths from 1,664,829 infections.
A total of 1,447,732 people in Argentina have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 39,305.
Colombia's confirmed cases have increased to 1,343,322, with the number of deaths at 37,305, according to the JHU virus tracker.
