Globally, as of 6:09pm CET, Friday, there have been 64,603,428 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 1,500,614 deaths, reported to WHO.

The outbreak has now claimed the lives of at least 278,605 people in the US, the most of any country. The US also leads the world in the number of confirmed infections with 14,343,430, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University as of 9:26 am BJT on Saturday.

India has confirmed a total number of infections to 9,571,559. The death toll grew to 139,188.

Brazil has confirmed a total number of infections to 6,487,084. The death toll grew to 175,270.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Russia have increased to 2,382,012 with 41,730 deaths.

It is followed by France with 2,321,703 infections and 54,859 deaths, United Kingdom with 1,694,800 infections and 60,714 deaths, Italy with 1,688,939 cases and 58,852 deaths, Spain with 1,684,647 cases and 46,252 deaths and Argentina with 1,454,631 cases and 39,512 deaths.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Colombia have increased to 1,352,607 with 37,467 deaths.
