Globally, as of 10 am BJT on Wednesday, there have been 67,210,778 confirmed cases of coronavirus, including 1,540,777 deaths, reported the World Health Organization.

The outbreak has now claimed 291,311 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 15,426,635 infections, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University as of 10 am BJT on Wednesday.

India has confirmed a total of 9,703,770 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 140,958.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 6,674,999 with 178,159 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

Russia has confirmed 2,492,713 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 43,674.

France has recorded 2,363,196 confirmed cases and 56,453 deaths.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 61,240 lives in Italy, bringing the total number of infections to 1,757,394.

It is followed by the UK with 62,130 deaths from 1,754,881 infections.

A total of 1,702,328 people in Spain have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 46,646.

Argentina has reported 1,469,919 COVID-19 cases and 40,009 deaths from the virus so far.

Colombia's confirmed cases have increased to 1,384,610, with the number of deaths at 38,158, according to the JHU virus tracker.
