The total number of deaths from the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide has increased to 2,228,716 with the global confirmed cases reaching 102,993,505 as of 5:00 pm BJT on Monday, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.

The outbreak has now claimed the lives of at least 441,324 people in the US, the most of any country. The US also leads the world in the number of confirmed infections with 26,186,815, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University as of 5:00 pm BJT on Monday.
India has confirmed a total number of infections to 10,757,610. The death toll grew to 154,392.
Brazil has confirmed a total number of infections to 9,204,731. The death toll grew to 224,504.
Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in UK have increased to 3,828,183 with 106,367 deaths.
It is followed by Russia with 3,825,739 infections and 72,456 deaths, France with 3,255,920 infections and 76,201 deaths, Spain with 2,743,119 cases and 58,319 deaths, Italy with 2,553,032 cases and 88,516 deaths and Turkey with 2,477,463 cases and 25,993 deaths.
Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Germany have increased to 2,225,659 with 57,290 deaths.
