The total number of deaths from the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide has increased to 2,342,355 with the global confirmed cases reaching 106,965,011 as of 6:30 pm BJT on Wednesday, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.

Current status (data as of 6:30 pm BJT, Feb. 10):

India's COVID-19 tally rose to 10,858,371 on Wednesday as 11,067 new cases were registered during the past 24 hours, said the latest data from the health ministry. According to the official data, the death toll mounted to 155,252 as 94 COVID-19 patients died since Tuesday morning.

The COVID-19 cases in Indonesia rose by 8,776 within one day to 1,183,555, with the death toll adding by 191 to 32,167, the Health Ministry said on Wednesday. According to the ministry, 9,520 more people were discharged from hospitals, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 982,972.

Afghanistan's Public Health Ministry reported 18 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, bringing the Asian country's total tally to 55,420, including 4,868 active cases.

The Department of Health (DOH) of the Philippines reported on Wednesday 1,345 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the country's total tally to 541,560. The death toll climbed to 11,401 after 114 more patients died from the coronavirus epidemic, the DOH said.

Mongolia reported 54 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the nationwide tally to 2,174, the country's National Center for Communicable Diseases (NCCD) said Wednesday.
