The total number of deaths from the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide has increased to 2,356,684 with the global confirmed cases reaching 107,407,890 as of 7:00 pm BJT on Thursday, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.

The outbreak has now claimed 471,575 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 27,287,341 infections, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University as of 7:00 pm BJT on Thursday.

India has confirmed a total of 10,871,294 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 155,360.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 9,659,167 with 234,850 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

The UK's confirmed cases have increased to 3,996,833, with the number of deaths at 115,068, according to the JHU virus tracker.

Russia has confirmed 3,983,031 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 77,415.

France has recorded 3,444,888 confirmed cases and 80,591 deaths.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 63,704 lives in Spain, bringing the total number of infections to 3,023,601.

A total of 2,668,266 people in Italy have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 92,338.

It is followed by Turkey with 27,093 deaths from 2,556,837 infections.

Germany has reported 2,313,433 COVID-19 cases and 63,676 deaths from the virus so far.
