The latest: COVID-19 outbreak worldwide (Updated February 15)

The total number of deaths from the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide has increased to 2,400,446 with the global confirmed cases reaching 108,823,118 as of 5:00 pm BJT on Monday, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.

Current status (data as of 5:00 pm BJT, Feb 15):

The outbreak has now claimed the lives of at least 485,336 people in the US, the most of any country. The US also leads the world in the number of confirmed infections with 27,640,291, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University as of 5:00 pm BJT on Monday.

India has confirmed a total number of infections to 10,916,589. The death toll grew to 155,732.

Brazil has confirmed a total number of infections to 9,834,513. The death toll grew to 239,245.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in UK have increased to 4,049,920 with 117,387 deaths.

It is followed by Russia with 4,026,506 infections and 79,210 deaths, France with 3,467,884 infections and 80,961 deaths, Spain with 3,056,035 cases and 64,747 deaths, Italy with 2,721,879 cases and 93,577 deaths and Turkey with 2,586,183 cases and 27,471 deaths.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Germany have increased to 2,342,744 with 65,107 deaths.
