The total number of deaths from the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide has increased to 2,443,302 with the global confirmed cases reaching 110,377,466 as of 7:30 pm BJT on Friday, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.

Thailand is expecting to receive the first shipment of COVID-19 vaccines from China's Sinovac Biotech next week and kick-start its national inoculation program.

The number of COVID-19 cases in Brazil surpassed 10 million on Thursday as tests detected 51,879 new cases in the previous 24 hours, the Health Ministry said.

China will donate 30,000 anti-coronavirus vaccines doses to Montenegro, the Chinese Embassy in that country confirmed in a press release on Thursday.
