The total number of deaths from the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide has increased to 2,450,499 with the global confirmed cases reaching 110,687,323 as of 10:00 am BJT on Saturday, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.

The outbreak has now claimed 495,506 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 27,999,565 infections, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University as of 10:00 am BJT on Saturday.

India has confirmed a total of 10,963,394 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 156,111.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 10,084,208 with 244,737 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

The UK's confirmed cases have increased to 4,107,286, with the number of deaths at 120,147, according to the JHU virus tracker.

Russia has confirmed 4,092,649 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 81,048.

France has recorded 3,596,167 confirmed cases and 83,543 deaths.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 67,101 lives in Spain, bringing the total number of infections to 3,133,122.

A total of 2,780,882 people in Italy have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 95,235.

It is followed by Turkey with 27,903 deaths from 2,624,019 infections.

Germany has reported 2,381,259 COVID-19 cases and 67,500 deaths from the virus so far.
