The total number of deaths from the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide has increased to 2,296,375 with the global confirmed cases reaching 105,334,919 as of 10:00 am BJT on Saturday, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.

The outbreak has now claimed 459,016 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 26,796,116 infections, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University as of 10:00 am BJT on Saturday.

India has confirmed a total of 10,802,591 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 154,823.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 9,447,165 with 230,034 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

The UK's confirmed cases have increased to 3,922,910, with the number of deaths at 111,477, according to the JHU virus tracker.

Russia has confirmed 3,891,274 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 74,520.

France has recorded 3,355,678 confirmed cases and 78,749 deaths.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 61,386 lives in Spain, bringing the total number of infections to 2,941,990.

A total of 2,611,659 people in Italy have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 90,618.

It is followed by Turkey with 26,577 deaths from 2,516,889 infections.

Germany has reported 2,276,371 COVID-19 cases and 60,843 deaths from the virus so far.
