The total number of deaths from the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide has increased to 1,946,248 with the global confirmed cases reaching 90,944,546 as of 5:30 pm BJT on Tuesday, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.

The outbreak has now claimed the lives of at least 376,280 people in the US, the most of any country. The US also leads the world in the number of confirmed infections with 22,618,071, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University as of 5:30 pm BJT on Tuesday.
India has confirmed a total number of infections to 10,479,179. The death toll grew to 151,327.
Brazil has confirmed a total number of infections to 8,131,612. The death toll grew to 203,580.
Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Russia have increased to 3,412,390 with 61,908 deaths.
It is followed by UK with 3,127,643 infections and 82,096 deaths, France with 2,844,680 infections and 68,197 deaths, Turkey with 2,336,476 cases and 22,981 deaths, Italy with 2,289,021 cases and 79,203 deaths and Spain with 2,111,782 cases and 52,275 deaths.
Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Germany have increased to 1,942,830 with 41,806 deaths.
