The outbreak has now claimed 403,708 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 24,329,691 infections, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University as of 6:30 pm BJT on Monday.
India has confirmed a total of 10,571,773 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 152,419.
Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 8,488,099 with 209,847deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.
Russia has confirmed 3,552,888 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 65,059.
The UK's confirmed cases have increased to 3,405,740, with the number of deaths at 89,429, according to the JHU virus tracker.
France has recorded 2,969,091 confirmed cases and 70,422 deaths.
It is followed by Turkey with 23,997 deaths from 2,387,101 infections.
A total of 2,381,277 people in Italy have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 82,177.
The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 53,314 lives in Spain, bringing the total number of infections to 2,252,164.
Germany has reported 2,050,775 COVID-19 cases and 46,908 deaths from the virus so far.
