Globally, as of 6:30 pm BJT on Tuesday, there have been 93,805,612 confirmed cases of coronavirus, including 2,026,093 deaths, reported the World Health Organization.

The outbreak has now claimed 405,072 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 24,467,964 infections, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University as of 6:30 pm BJT on Tuesday.

India has confirmed a total of 10,581,823 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 152,556.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 8,511,770 with 210,299 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

Russia has confirmed 3,574,330 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 65,632.

The UK's confirmed cases have increased to 3,443,350, with the number of deaths at 90,031, according to the JHU virus tracker.

France has recorded 2,972,889 confirmed cases and 70,826 deaths.

It is followed by Turkey with 24,161 deaths from 2,392,963 infections.

A total of 2,390,102 people in Italy have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 82,554.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 53,769 lives in Spain, bringing the total number of infections to 2,336,451.

Germany has reported 2,060,559 COVID-19 cases and 47,833 deaths from the virus so far.
