Globally, as of 6:30 pm BJT on Wednesday, there have been 94,124,612 confirmed cases of coronavirus, including 2,034,527 deaths, reported the World Health Organization.

The outbreak has now claimed 407,874 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 24,674,929 infections, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University as of 6:30 pm BJT on Wednesday.

India has confirmed a total of 10,595,639 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 152,718.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 8,573,864 with 211,491 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

Russia has confirmed 3,595,136 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 66,214.

The UK's confirmed cases have increased to 3,476,824, with the number of deaths at 91,643, according to the JHU virus tracker.

France has recorded 2,996,784 confirmed cases and 71,482 deaths.

A total of 2,400,598 people in Italy have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 83,157.

It is followed by Turkey with 24,328 deaths from 2,399,781 infections.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 54,173 lives in Spain, bringing the total number of infections to 2,370,742.

Germany has reported 2,074,076 COVID-19 cases and 48,998 deaths from the virus so far.
