The total number of deaths from the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide has increased to 2,217,668 with the global confirmed cases reaching 102,520,738 as of 10:00 am BJT on Sunday, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.

The outbreak has now claimed 439,405 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 26,065,678 infections, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University as of 10:00 am BJT on Sunday.

India has confirmed a total of 10,733,131 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 154,147.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 9,176,975 with 223,945 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

The UK's confirmed cases have increased to 3,806,993, with the number of deaths at 105,777, according to the JHU virus tracker.

Russia has confirmed 3,790,265 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 71,556.

France has recorded 3,236,685 confirmed cases and 76,006 deaths.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 58,319 lives in Spain, bringing the total number of infections to 2,743,119.

A total of 2,541,783 people in Italy have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 88,279.

It is followed by Turkey with 25,865 deaths from 2,470,901 infections.

Germany has reported 2,217,234 COVID-19 cases and 56,878 deaths from the virus so far.
