The outbreak has now claimed 358,418 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 21,191,293 infections, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University as of 6:30 pm BJT on Tuesday.
India has confirmed a total of 10,356,844 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 149,850.
Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 7,753,752 with 196,561 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.
Russia has confirmed 3,250,713 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 58,706.
The UK's confirmed cases have increased to 2,721,622, with the number of deaths at 75,547, according to the JHU virus tracker.
France has recorded 2,717,059 confirmed cases and 65,549 deaths.
It is followed by Turkey with 21,685 deaths from 2,255,607 infections.
A total of 2,166,244 people in Italy have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 75,680.
The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 51,078 lives in Spain, bringing the total number of infections to 1,958,844.
Germany has reported 1,797,858 COVID-19 cases and 35,755 deaths from the virus so far.
