Globally, as of 6:30 pm BJT on Wednesday, there have been 84,474,195 confirmed cases of coronavirus, including 1,848,704 deaths, reported the World Health Organization.

The outbreak has now claimed 362,934 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 21,446,046 infections, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University as of 6:30 pm BJT on Wednesday.

India has confirmed a total of 10,374,932 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 150,114.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 7,810,400 with 197,732 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

Russia has confirmed 3,274,615 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 59,137.

The UK's confirmed cases have increased to 2,782,709, with the number of deaths at 76,428, according to the JHU virus tracker.

France has recorded 2,737,884 confirmed cases and 66,417 deaths.

It is followed by Turkey with 21,879 deaths from 2,270,101 infections.

A total of 2,181,619 people in Italy have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 76,329.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 51,430 lives in Spain, bringing the total number of infections to 1,982,544.

Germany has reported 1,818,537 COVID-19 cases and 36,760 deaths from the virus so far.
