The total number of deaths from the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide has increased to 4,060,516 with the global confirmed cases reaching 188,504,500 as of 8 pm BJT on Thursday, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.

The outbreak has now claimed 608,115 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 33,947,232 infections.
India has confirmed a total of 30,987,880 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 411,989.
Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 19,209,729 with 537,394 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.
France has recorded 5,884,395 confirmed cases and 111,609 deaths.
Russia has confirmed 5,810,335 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 143,657.
The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 50,367 lives in Turkey, bringing the total number of infections to 5,500,151.
The UK's confirmed cases have increased to 5,252,659, with the number of deaths at 128,797, according to the JHU virus tracker.
It is followed by Argentina with 100,250 deaths from 4,702,657 infections.
Colombia has reported 4,565,372 COVID-19 cases and 114,337 deaths from the virus so far.
A total of 4,275,846 people in Italy have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 127,831.
