Globally, as of 10 am BJT on Thursday, there have been 10,357,662 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 508,055 deaths, reported the World Health Organization.

The outbreak has now claimed 130,284 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 2,748,048 infections, according to a tally by the 1Point3Acres virus tracker as of 10 am BJT on Thursday.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 1,448,753 with 60,632 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

Russia has confirmed 653,479 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 9,521.

India has confirmed a total of 585,493 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 17,400.

The UK's confirmed cases have increased to 314,992, with the number of deaths at 43,991, according to the JHU virus tracker.

Peru has reported 288,477 COVID-19 cases and 9,860 deaths from the virus so far.

A total of 282,043 people in Chile have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 5,753.

Spain has recorded 249,271 confirmed cases and 28,355 deaths.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 34,788 lives in Italy, bringing the total number of infections to 240,760.

It is followed by Mexico with 28,510 deaths from 231,770 infections.
