Globally, as of 6:32pm CEST on Sunday, there have been 14,043,176 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 597,583 deaths, reported to WHO.

The outbreak has now claimed the lives of at least 140,534 people in the US, the most of any country. The US also leads the world in the number of confirmed infections with 3,773,260, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University as of 3:34 pm BJT on Monday.

Brazil has confirmed a total number of infections to 2,098,389. The death toll grew to 79,488.

India has confirmed a total number of infections to 1,118,206. The death toll grew to 27,497.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Russia have increased to 770,311 with 12,323 deaths.

It is followed by South Africa with 364,328 infections and 5,033 deaths, Peru with 353,590 infections and 13,187 deaths, Mexico with 344,224 cases and 39,184 deaths and Chile with 330,930 cases and 8,503 deaths.

The UK's confirmed cases have increased to 296,358, with the number of deaths at 45,385, according to the JHU virus tracker.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Iran have increased to 273,788 with 14,188 deaths.
