Globally, as of 10 am BJT on Tuesday, there have been 14,348,858 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 603,691 deaths, reported the World Health Organization.

The outbreak has now claimed 143,334 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of  3,923,800 infections, according to a tally by the 1Point3Acres virus tracker as of 10 am BJT on Tuesday.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 2,118,646 with 80,120 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

India has confirmed a total of 1,118,206 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 27,497.

Russia has confirmed 776,212 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 12,408.

South Africa has recorded 373,628 confirmed cases and 5,173 deaths.

Peru has reported 353,590 COVID-19 cases and 13,187 deaths from the virus so far.

It is followed by Mexico with 39,485 deaths from 349,396 infections.

A total of 330,930 people in Chile have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 8,503.

The UK's confirmed cases have increased to 296,944, with the number of deaths at 45,397, according to the JHU virus tracker.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 14,405 lives in Iran, bringing the total number of infections to 276,202.
