Globally, as of 12:59 pm CEST on Sunday, there have been 11,125,245 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 528,204 deaths, reported to WHO.

The outbreak has now claimed the lives of at least 129,947 people in the US, the most of any country. The US also leads the world in the number of confirmed infections with 2,888,729, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University as of 3:33 pm BJT on Monday.

Brazil has confirmed a total number of infections to 1,603,055. The death toll grew to 64,867.

India has confirmed a total number of infections to 697,413. The death toll grew to 19,693.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Russia have increased to 686,777 with 10,271 deaths.

It is followed by Peru with 302,718 infections and 10,589 deaths and Chile with 295,532 cases and 6,308 deaths.

The UK's confirmed cases have increased to 286,932, with the number of deaths at 44,305, according to the JHU virus tracker.

It is followed by Mexico with 256,848 cases and 30,639 deaths, Spain with 250,545 cases and 28,385 deaths and Italy with 241,611 cases and 34,861 deaths.
