The total number of deaths from the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide has increased to 3,748,866 with the global confirmed cases reaching 174,462,353 as of 7:30 pm BJT on Thursday, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.

The outbreak has now claimed 598,766 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 33,414,733 infections.
India has confirmed a total of 29,182,532 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 355,705.
Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 17,122,877 with 479,515 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.
France has recorded 5,787,125 confirmed cases and 110,364 deaths.
Turkey has confirmed 5,306,690 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 48,428.
The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 123,178 lives in Russia, bringing the total number of infections to 5,108,217.
The UK's confirmed cases have increased to 4,551,694, with the number of deaths at 128,124, according to the JHU virus tracker.
A total of 4,237,790 people in Italy have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 126,767.
Argentina has reported 4,038,528 COVID-19 cases and 83,272 deaths from the virus so far.
It is followed by Germany with 89,591 deaths from 3,717,144 infections.
