The latest: COVID-19 outbreak worldwide (Updated June 11)

The total number of deaths from the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide has increased to 3,774,561 with the global confirmed cases reaching 174,909,515 as of 7:30 pm BJT on Friday, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.

The outbreak has now claimed 598,750 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 33,426,993 infections.

India has confirmed a total of 29,274,823 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 363,079.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 17,210,969 with 482,019 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

France has recorded 5,791,608 confirmed cases and 110,432 deaths.

Turkey has confirmed 5,313,098 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 48,524.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 123,568 lives in Russia, bringing the total number of infections to 5,120,578.

The UK's confirmed cases have increased to 4,558,933, with the number of deaths at 128,131, according to the JHU virus tracker.

A total of 4,239,868 people in Italy have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 126,855.

Argentina has reported 4,066,156 COVID-19 cases and 83,941 deaths from the virus so far.

It is followed by Spain with 80,465 deaths from 3,729,458 infections.
