The latest: COVID-19 outbreak worldwide (Updated June 12)

The total number of deaths from the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide has increased to 3,780,167 with the global confirmed cases reaching 175,172,767 as of 10:00 am BJT on Saturday, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.

The outbreak has now claimed 599,172 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 33,436,791 infections.

India has confirmed a total of 29,274,823 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 363,079.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 17,296,118 with 484,235 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

France has recorded 5,795,479 confirmed cases and 110,506 deaths.

Turkey has confirmed 5,319,359 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 48,593.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 123,568 lives in Russia, bringing the total number of infections to 5,120,578.

The UK's confirmed cases have increased to 4,566,891, with the number of deaths at 128,148, according to the JHU virus tracker.

A total of 4,241,760 people in Italy have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 126,924.

Argentina has reported 4,093,090 COVID-19 cases and 84,628 deaths from the virus so far.

It is followed by Spain with 80,501 deaths from 3,733,600 infections.
