Globally, as of 10:30 am BJT on Monday, there have been 7,690,708 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 427,630 deaths, reported the WHO.

The outbreak has now claimed 117,586 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 2,141,405 infections, according to a tally by the 1Point3Acres virus tracker as of 6:30 pm BJT on Thursday.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 867,624 with 43,332 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

Russia has confirmed 528,267 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 6,938.

India has reported 320,922 COVID-19 cases and 9,195 deaths from the virus so far.

The UK's confirmed cases have increased to 297,342, with the number of deaths at 41,783, according to the JHU virus tracker.

Spain has recorded 243,928 confirmed cases and 27,136 deaths.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 34,345 lives in Italy, bringing the total number of infections to 236,989.

Peru has confirmed a total of 229,736 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 6,688.

A total of 194,153 people in France have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 29,410.

It is followed by Germany with 8,801 deaths from 187,518 infections.
