The total number of deaths from the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide has increased to 3,840,042 with the global confirmed cases reaching 177,355,602 as of 10:00 am BJT on Friday, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.

The outbreak has now claimed 600,933 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 33,508,060 infections.
India has confirmed a total of 29,700,313 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 381,903.
Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 17,702,630 with 496,004 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.
France has recorded 5,811,456 confirmed cases and 110,796 deaths.
Turkey has confirmed 5,354,153 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 49,012.
The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 125,853 lives in Russia, bringing the total number of infections to 5,203,117.
The UK's confirmed cases have increased to 4,616,616, with the number of deaths at 128,209, according to the JHU virus tracker.
A total of 4,249,755 people in Italy have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 127,190.
Argentina has reported 4,222,400 COVID-19 cases and 87,789 deaths from the virus so far.
It is followed by Colombia with 98,156 deaths from 3,859,824 infections.
