The total number of deaths from the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide has increased to 3,852,404 with the global confirmed cases reaching 177,858,745 as of 6:30 pm BJT on Saturday, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.

The outbreak has now claimed 601,571 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 33,516,213 infections.
India has confirmed a total of 29,823,546 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 385,137.
Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 17,801,462 with 498,499 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.
France has recorded 5,814,648 confirmed cases and 110,864 deaths.
Turkey has confirmed 5,359,728 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 49,071.
The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 126,761 lives in Russia, bringing the total number of infections to 5,237,847.
The UK'sconfirmedcases have increased to 4,626,915, with the number of deaths at 128,220, according to the JHU virus tracker.
A total of 4,250,902 people in Italy have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 127,225.
It is followed by Argentina with 88,247 deaths from 4,242,763 infections.
Colombia has reported 3,888,614 COVID-19 cases and 98,746 deaths from the virus so far.
