Globally, as of 10 am BJT on Monday, there have been 9,843,073 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 495,760 deaths, reported the World Health Organization.

The outbreak has now claimed 127,911 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 2,605,589 infections, according to a tally by the 1Point3Acres virus tracker as of 10 am BJT on Monday.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 1,344,143 with 57,622 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

Russia has confirmed 633,563 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 9,060.

India has confirmed a total of 528,859 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 16,095.

The UK's confirmed cases have increased to 312,640, with the number of deaths at 43,634, according to the JHU virus tracker.

Peru has reported 279,419 COVID-19 cases and 9,317 deaths from the virus so far.

A total of 271,982 people in Chile have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 5,509.

Spain has recorded 248,770 confirmed cases and 28,343 deaths.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 34,738 lives in Italy, bringing the total number of infections to 240,310.

It is followed by Iran with 10,508 deaths from 222,669 infections.
