Globally, as of 10 am BJT on Tuesday, there have been 10,021,401 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 499,913 deaths, reported the World Health Organization.

The outbreak has now claimed 128,281 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 2,647,210 infections, according to a tally by the 1Point3Acres virus tracker as of 10 am BJT on Tuesday.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 1,368,195 with 58,314 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

Russia has confirmed 640,246 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 9,152.

India has confirmed a total of 548,318 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 16,475.

The UK's confirmed cases have increased to 313,470, with the number of deaths at 43,659, according to the JHU virus tracker.

Peru has reported 282,365 COVID-19 cases and 9,504 deaths from the virus so far.

A total of 275,999 people in Chile have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 5,575.

Spain has recorded 248,970 confirmed cases and 28,346 deaths.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 34,744 lives in Italy, bringing the total number of infections to 240,436.

It is followed by Iran with 10,670 deaths from 225,205 infections.
