The total number of deaths from the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide has increased to 3,722,282 with the global confirmed cases reaching 173,008,891 as of 7:00 pm BJT on Sunday, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.

The outbreak has now claimed 597,377 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 33,357,241 infections.
India has confirmed a total of 28,809,339 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 346,759.
Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 16,907,425 with 472,531 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.
France has recorded 5,769,291 confirmed cases and 110,135 deaths.
Turkey has confirmed 5,282,594 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 48,068.
The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 121,711 lives in Russia, bringing the total number of infections to 5,067,246.
The UK'sconfirmedcases have increased to 4,527,577, with the number of deaths at 128,099, according to the JHU virus tracker.
A total of 4,230,153 people in Italy have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 126,472.
It is followed by Argentina with 80,867 deaths from 3,939,024 infections.
Germany has reported 3,709,575 COVID-19 cases and 89,227 deaths from the virus so far.
