The outbreak has now claimed 111,529 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 1,964,200 infections, according to a tally by the 1Point3Acres virus tracker as of 6:30 pm BJT on Sunday.
Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 672,846 with 35,930 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.
Russia has confirmed 467,073 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 5,851.
The UK's confirmed cases have increased to 286,294, with the number of deaths at 40,548, according to the JHU virus tracker.
India has reported 247,195 COVID-19 cases and 6,950 deaths from the virus so far.
Spain has recorded 241,310 confirmed cases and 27,135 deaths.
The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 33,846 lives in Italy, bringing the total number of infections to 234,801.
Peru has confirmed a total of 191,758 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 5,301.
A total of 190,759 people in France have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 29,145.
It is followed by Germany with 8,685 deaths from 185,696 infections.
