Globally, as of 6:30 pm BJT on Tuesday, there have been 7,023,117 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 403,845 deaths, reported the WHO.

The outbreak has now claimed 112,752 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 2,006,657 infections, according to a tally by the 1Point3Acres virus tracker as of 6:30 pm BJT on Tuesday.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 707,412 with 37,134 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

Russia has confirmed 484,630 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 6,133.

The UK's confirmed cases have increased to 288,834, with the number of deaths at 40,680, according to the JHU virus tracker.

India has confirmed a total of 267,614 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 7,481.

Spain has recorded 241,717 confirmed cases and 27,136 deaths.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 33,964 lives in Italy, bringing the total number of infections to 235,278.

Peru has reported 199,696 COVID-19 cases and 5,571 deaths from the virus so far.

A total of 191,313 people in France have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 29,212.

It is followed by Germany with 8,727 deaths from 186,233 infections.
