The total number of deaths from the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide has increased to 3,748,866 with the global confirmed cases reaching 174,041,987 as of 7:00 pm BJT on Wednesday, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.

The outbreak has now claimed 598,330 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 33,393,803 infections.
India has confirmed a total of 29,089,069 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 353,528.
Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 17,037,129 with 476,792 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.
France has recorded 5,781,556 confirmed cases and 110,299 deaths.
Turkey has confirmed 5,300,236 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 48,341.
The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 122,802 lives in Russia, bringing the total number of infections to 5,096,657.
The UK's confirmed cases have increased to 4,544,372, with the number of deaths at 128,118, according to the JHU virus tracker.
A total of 4,235,592 people in Italy have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 126,690.
Argentina has reported 4,008,771 COVID-19 cases and 82,667 deaths from the virus so far.
It is followed by Germany with 89,504 deaths from 3,713,913 infections.
