Globally, as of 10 am BJT on Wednesday, there have been 116,874,912 confirmed cases of coronavirus, including 2,597,381 deaths, reported the World Health Organization.

The outbreak has now claimed 535,622 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 29,597,874 infections, according to a tally by the 1Point3Acres virus tracker as of 10 am BJT on Wednesday.

India has confirmed a total of 11,244,786 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 157,930.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 11,122,429 with 268,370 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

Russia has recorded 4,293,750 confirmed cases and 88,315 deaths.

The UK has reported 4,241,858 COVID-19 cases and 125,032 deaths from the virus so far.

France has confirmed 3,992,755 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 89,455.

A total of 3,164,982 people in Spain have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 71,727.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 100,479 lives in Italy, bringing the total number of infections to 3,101,093.

It is followed by Turkey with 29,160 deaths from 2,807,387 infections.

Germany's confirmed cases have increased to 2,520,618, with the number of deaths at 72,347, according to the JHU virus tracker.
