Globally, as of 10 am BJT on Friday, there have been 117,799,584 confirmed cases of coronavirus, including 2,615,018 deaths, reported the World Health Organization.

The outbreak has now claimed 538,538 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 29,719,725 infections, according to a tally by the 1Point3Acres virus tracker as of 10 am BJT on Friday.

India has confirmed a total of 11,285,561 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 158,189.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 11,277,717 with 158,189 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

Russia has recorded 4,311,893 confirmed cases and 89,224 deaths.

The UK has reported 4,254,703 COVID-19 cases and 125,403 deaths from the virus so far.

France has confirmed 4,050,558 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 89,984.

A total of 3,178,356 people in Spain have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 72,085.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 101,184 lives in Italy, bringing the total number of infections to 3,149,017.

It is followed by Turkey with 29,290 deaths from 2,835,989 infections.

Germany's confirmed cases have increased to 2,546,526, with the number of deaths at 72,968, according to the JHU virus tracker.
