Globally, as of 6 pm BJT on Wednesday, there have been 119,960,700 confirmed cases of coronavirus, including 2,656,822 deaths, reported the World Health Organization.

The outbreak has now claimed 544,721 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 29,988,826 infections, according to a tally by the 1Point3Acres virus tracker as of 6 pm BJT on Wednesday.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 11,603,535 with 282,127 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

India has confirmed a total of 11,438,734 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 159,044.

Russia has recorded 4,368,943 confirmed cases and 91,815 deaths.

The UK has reported 4,282,203 COVID-19 cases and 125,927 deaths from the virus so far.

France has confirmed 4,168,411 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 91,324.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 103,001 lives in Italy, bringing the total number of infections to 3,258,770.

A total of 3,200,024 people in Spain have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 72,565.

It is followed by Turkey with 29,623 deaths from 2,911,642 infections.

Germany's confirmed cases have increased to 2,603,064, with the number of deaths at 73,953, according to the JHU virus tracker.
