Globally, as of 6:30 pm BJT on Wednesday, there have been 114,140,104 confirmed cases of coronavirus, including 2,535,520 deaths, reported the World Health Organization.

The outbreak has now claimed 524,374 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 29,195,658 infections, according to a tally by the 1Point3Acres virus tracker as of 6:30 pm BJT on Wednesday.

India has confirmed a total of 11,139,516 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 157,346.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 10,646,926 with 257,361 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

Russia has recorded 4,230,707 confirmed cases and 85,901 deaths.

The UK has reported 4,200,717 COVID-19 cases and 123,530 deaths from the virus so far.

France has confirmed 3,843,241 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 87,373.

A total of 3,130,184 people in Spain have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 69,801.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 98,288 lives in Italy, bringing the total number of infections to 2,955,434.

It is followed by Turkey with 28,706 deaths from 2,723,316 infections.

Germany's confirmed cases have increased to 2,464,449, with the number of deaths at 70,926, according to the JHU virus tracker.
