The total number of deaths from the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide has increased to 2,647,235 with the global confirmed cases reaching 119,472,317 as of 10:00 am BJT on Sunday, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.

The outbreak has now claimed the lives of at least 534,275 people in the US, the most of any country. The US also leads the world in the number of confirmed infections with 29,399,317.

Brazil has confirmed a total number of infections to 11,439,558. The death toll grew to 277,102.

India has confirmed a total number of infections to 11,333,728 The death toll grew to 158,446.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Russia have increased to 4,331,396 with 90,169 deaths.

It is followed by UK with 4,267,015 infections and 125,701 deaths, France with 4,105,527 infections and 90,376 deaths, Italy with 3,201,838 cases and 101,881 deaths, Spain with 3,183,704 cases and 72,258 deaths and Turkey with 2,866,012 cases and 29,421 deaths.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Germany have increased to 2,569,864 with 73,369 deaths.
